Well, after I read this topic, I immediately thought that it was amazing that someone I had communicated with actually had a story like this. I was also reading Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night at the same time and decided to read up on it, it was mostly nonfiction.

I then noticed that I had a story like this and thought that maybe everyone had their own story to tell. I'm going to tell you my story, and I invite you to tell me yours.

January 26th, 2004, my mother suffered a stroke, she had had blood pressure problems for years but no one could have imagined this would happen. The doctor said there was about a %30 chance she would survive, but miraculously she did with only minor brain damage.

The term "minor brain damage" can be a bit misleading however, it's impossible for any amount of brain damage to not severely influence how somebody lives, but ever since then she would always come home from her five-hour workday (she is a pre-school teacher) completely exhausted and the doctors now say she will likely have another, even more dangerous stroke if she doesn't get in shape. My father being fired for making too much money isn't helping matters either.
