icon Wrecking Ball Potion (0)
When Beethro drinks this potion, a wrecking ball will appear at a predetermined spot that sort of looks like a hook in the ground (which is *not* an obstacle) to hold the wrecking ball.

The wrecking ball consists of one square of a straight handle, several squares of chain (the length is chosen by the architect), and the ball itself.

The handle appears facing the same direction as Beethro's sword and turns as Beethro turns his sword. The chain and the ball move according to the laws of physics.

Both the chain and the ball are deadly (except to serpents) and the ball (not the chain) can break crumbly walls and activate orbs.

I think that's it. Tell me if I missed something.

I am inordinately amused that these two phrases appear in the same idea.

When Beethro drinks this potion, a wrecking ball will appear...

The chain and the ball move according to the laws of physics.

Exactly which laws of physics are you referring to here? Conservation of momentum perhaps?

Game on,

EEP! Predetermined spot=bad. Not good for a potion. Amused as I am by Oneiro's observation as well, maybe there should be an activation orb instead of a potion. (And, if I read it right, it'd basically be a mimic that can't move, right?)

By "the laws of physics" I mean the direction in which the chain swings back and forth with its momentum.

I guess it would be okay if Beethro can place it wherever he wants.

That would not be okay, because then you would place a stuck mimic. You would have to test rooms with the ball in each possible position to make sure the room is solvable, and at each particular time as well. (I.E., 1 move, 2 moves, etc.) Too much time if you can determine where you put it AND it's stationary.

That's why I suggested the preplacement and the orb option.

I just don't agree with this one. Sorry Hawk, they can't all be winners.

Keep in mind that this was only a suggestion. You don't have to get so..... well..... I don't know what word to use. ;)

All the ones I can thing of are too strong, too weak, or don't fit the subject entirely. ;)

You've come up with a couple good ones, you just have a lot of ideas so it seems like they're substantially outnumbered ;)

And sorry I was so curt, I just had something simple to say this time :)
