Hi WQ masters, fans and experts,

In an attempt to start with a french translation of WQ's texts, I edited the MOH.dat file, and decided to check it "live" after I had to type a few accented characters, which ar very common in french. We could miss those, but sometimes that would mean something different...
Happily enough, accented characters were correctly displayed, but the text lost its the size just for those 'à' and 'ô' characters, while 'é' got correctly handled.

[Edit again]Uho. Works with FireFox though. Doesn work with Opera that doesn't catch the confirmation dialog box.[/Edit]



Same issue with 'è' and 'ê' seemingly.
Any explanation ? Can this be corrected ?

Voilà, there you go with the French translation (should you need it) of the original english MOH.dat file located in

C:\Program Files\WonderQuest\MOH.dat

Here under follow some basic installation instructions for froggies

Pour les joueurs intéressés, en pièce jointe vous pouvez télécharger une version traduite en français des textes d'aide de WonderQuest. Ce fichier doit remplacer:

C:\Program Files\WonderQuest\MOH.dat

(par précaution prenez une copie de sauvegarde de MOH.dat et renommez-le éventuellement MOH-en.dat)

N'hésitez pas à me communiquer toute erreur de traduction...

Oh nooooo !
It appears that when the Hero stands on the Scroll there is some text from *elsewhere* being displayed... still in English ! Any idea where its source may reside ?

The actual hints (and conversations) from the rolls, for instance. E.g:
* Hint: "you have to get the roach queens out of the central chambers" on Level 3, Twice North Once West.
* conversation between Jax and Archer on Level 3 Twice West.
* etc, etc...
This is just an example but it applies to all hints.

Scroll text content is embedded in the Quest file. It can't be changed unless you edit it using the Editor and quest source files.
