The first demo (wait on the start screen) is of this room. You can watch over and over again when you get stuck.

I don't think you can get the demo any more until you've played the room, then DROD will copy exactly what you did.

Does DROD copy demos of you beating every room in to its own demo buffer for you to peruse later? That would be neat.

DROD will save a demo of each room you beat if you enable this on the Settings screen. You can then view the demos saved for a room by hitting F6 while in the room.

You sure, Red_Hawk? I'm not seeing this - DROD's still solving the room in exactly the same way in the demo (and I can tell because he doesn't wander aimlessly trying to remember which orb to hit).

I'd done the first 3 levels a lot and I know exactly what to do on that room....

Start a new player, and wait. Demos will start playing. Ergo, it doesn't use your solutions, but ones preloaded in to the game.

Yes, but when you play the room through, the demo gets replaced.

I believe that's provably incorrect. Start a fresh character (install?) and go to level 3, 1S 1W. Idle at the entrance for a bit, going back and forth, and then solve the room. Return to the front page, and watch the demo. If your idling is there, then it replaced the demo with yours, but I'm about 99% sure the demo will be the same.
