Can someone help me crack this room? I have finished the other two in this level, but this one eludes me.

I assume that I heave to enter from the south through the middle path, in order to deal with the circular tar blob. But to do this, I have to open the red gate in the entrance. I just can't see a way to do this; either I can't drop the last two trapdoors next to the door, or I can't get the mimic out of the lower trapdoor area.

Am I missing something very obvious here, or is there some subtle devious trick which I haven't worked out?

I tried that, but it left me stuck in the top half of the room. I need two mimics -- one for the trapdoors at the bottom, one for the orb on the right -- but I only have one. So what do I do next?

You don't need to strike the orb on the right. There's another orb in the room that does the same thing.

I don't know how to progress from here.

All the tar must be removed to trigger the fuse to kill what's on the right half of the room. But I can't get through this tar.

How is that possible? I have to wait one cycle to make the SE blob cuttible. By that time the northern blob has filled in the squares, thus making it uncuttible.

Also will there be enough time to get to the blob below the northern one before IT becomes uncuttible?

There should be plenty of time to reach it. You have 60 turns to do so after waiting for first spawn.

Ok, it all boils down to one move at 11,6. I have done this a million times, waiting at 11,6. The next move kills me.
