I feel I ought to get round the back to kill the eye monsters but I can't get there. Can anyone help?

I have a demo in case this is too vague and/or no one else has any better suggestions. You also might want to tell us how you have started the room, what you have tried, etc.

Game on,

Thanks a lot - the idea of using the mimic to kill the eyes hadn't occured to me, and using him really made it easier for me.

I did it the same way as you but I assume if you kept on going you could do it the other way round.

I don't suppose you have any helpful hints on twice south twice east do you? I can't catch the bat.

Yeah, that one's a pain in the butt to get out. Looking at my demo, here's what I did:

Picture of room

I entered at 1, exited at 2. In order to kill the wraithwing I ran around a lot and eventually was able to kill him at 4 by stepping on 3. You probably don't have to do it this way, that's just what my demo shows me. It was getting the wraithwing along the right side of 4 that was the important part, perhaps I didn't need to step on 3. In fact, I'm pretty sure you don't but I don't feel like playing it again right now. ;)

Edit: okay, yes it is really easy to beat it without worrying about 3 and 4...just do some fancy footwork, it is good for you and will build character.

Game on,

I did it slightly differently and ended up running round never closer than about three squares to the wraith. I tried yours and got a similar result. I just can't trap the little pest :(

I suppose I'll just build some character for a bit :|

[Edit] Wow, was about to walk out of the room and go conquer a few more, spotted he was now dead in line with the wall and nailed him against it :D

I don't have my demos anymore, so someone else will have to field this one. Or you can go to the Whole-level demos thread and download the demo for all of level 5 if you don't mind having the other rooms spoiled too.
