Your problem here is that once you kill the tar mother you can't get back into the pool to clean up tar babies.

I've already understood that I need to clear all the tar,I just don't manage to do it-the "pool" fills up before I can do anything efficient.Can someone post a demo or write advice to kill the tar?

I find it useful to go from top to bottom (or bottom to top). Once you get that top row of tar cleared, the number of tarbabies you have to contend with is halved. Then you should be able to clear two rows per spawn cycle.
