whenever I try to copy any kind of object in the editor the next time I try to place it anywhere it just defines the location of the square and whats on it. I'm playing on a brand new computer no I know for sure there's no hardware problems. The only way I can resume building is to exit and restart which now is a bummer, now that I can't use the handy copy/paste to build my holds.

Anybody else encountered this?

I'm going to regret asking such a stupid question, but . . .

Are you clicking to choose where to paste the selection? The first time you copy, it automatically lets you paste (you can press escape if you don't want to paste). Then when you press ctrl+V, it lets you paste again.

When pasting, either choose a square, or press Esc if you don't want to paste.

EDIT: You're saying it's just defining the square? I think it does that if you right-click or hold your mouse in the same position.
EDIT EDIT: Never mind the above EDIT. Holding the mouse makes it say "Choose a square", and right-clicking does the same thing as Esc.
