Why can not-logged-in users see the image to make sure they are in the correct room, but logged-in users can't!? This seems rather backwards, and inevitably will lead to some misplaced posts - I've already nearly misplaced one, which I then gave up on and went back to the game and tried again, and again, and am still trying :P

Nonono, not all holds are like that.

When a hold is submitted, the author can choose whether or not each room can be seen by somebody who doesn't have a score for that room (meaning they must have beaten it and have CaravelNet).

I'm guessing you're looking for help on one of the official holds, right? Those are all blocked access from non-subscribers.


But it's easy to tell what room it is just from the minimap!
