Guys. He's already feeling bad about his ideas. I don't think we should make fun of him anymore. He's probably just a kid. They still suck though. I don't think he deserves a -1. I noticed that your english is getting better. Or is it just me?

So here's the thing: as with Anson, I know he's young (he's 11, I gather), and I don't really care. I'll happily accept a six-year-old to the forum if she can be (a) coherent and (b) constructive. But DROD--and I kind of wish something could be done about his name--hasn't given us anything useful. There may be good ideas, but if he can't present them thoroughly enough, I don't see any real need to be kind.

I do think he deserves the -1. To be really non-specific here, I'll just say it "doesn't meet Caravel standards." Yes, there are no "standards" set for hese forums, but I can't think of any better way to say it.

The "or something...I'M IDIOT" is a big reason, too.


As long as nobody brings him to -2, I can sleep at night.

I don't think you'll sleep the next 72 hours... he's down to -3 and I don't think that he deserves that. -1 is hard enough! So just stop pushing him down, ok? Let DROD her/his fun and Kwakstur her/his sleep.

I know that his contributions weren't very glorious (I read Drod's stories and Drod's feature requests) but let's see the positive aspects of that: he is willingly to contribute to this community; he want's to produce something that others will like. I post saying I'm okay with -1 (which I did not give him, by the way), I leave to edit my sig slightly, and then I come back 13 minutes later to find he's at -3?

Perhaps someone is out there just to spite me. In fact, he gets to spite two birds with one stone! Actually, six stones . . . one for each modpoint spent.

While we're on the subject of unlockables:

There is probably no need for them. Unlockables are usually to add structure and progression to a structureless game, and most of the potential things to 'unlock' either can't be, thanks to the license, shouldn't be, because the regular game is just fine as a method of progression, or is already an 'unlockable' - the concept art unlocked for mastering JtRH comes to mind here.

WaterGoblins Can Move Through Normal Floor.
Swords are unlockables because Beethro Can have Three Different weapons:
-Axe:Beethro Can Flip Hes Sword Like:left To Right Only In 1 Turn.
-exalibur:Can Kill Two Enemines Because Sword Takes 2 tiles.
-boomerang:move Towards enemy that are very close.
Har Har!I Die Because I Have So Fun!

Ghostes Can Move (Through) Walls and pits.

The DROD Demo doesn't have any time limit for playing. You only have level restriction and style restriction.

As of unlockables and mini-games, it's up to the hold maker if he/she wants to script in some.

As far as I know DROD:JtrH's "birthday" is the 1st april of 2005 and DROD:TCB's "birthday" is the 2nd april of 2007. These dates are refering to the first public release of the demo version.

No, Erik was in Europe when TCB was released, so it was the 2nd for him.

But, in actuality, I uploaded the TCB builds, and I was in America, so it was the 1st for me. Ha, ha!

I built the Linux version though, and I'm in Europe. However, I seem to remember that Mike actually uploaded the files for release for me. So, the Linux version was built on April 2nd, but released on April 1st.
