Because you replied to a thread that was not about a hold by asking about a hold with the name of the thread, and not actually commenting on anything that was posted.

It's the equivalent of posting in this thread to ask where you can find the "Looks like we have another spammer" hold.

Exactly this. Maybe he's just a newbie, but cause he used "hold" in a way that most people who read the forum, even newcomers, would never use it in, people were suspicious that he was a spambot who used the word "hold" as something to generically copy-paste without understanding.

wait, what? "Hold" was used appropriately, in DROD context. Doesn't make any sense using any other definition. Plus, there was a contest mentioned in the initial post, it's not unreasonable to assume it might have been an architecture contest.

Also, they'd made two earlier posts which indicate that they've been playing the game (asking relevant question about a specific room), and responding appropriately to what people are telling them (reposting question in correct place), neither of which spammers tend to do.

The thing is, the post contains no information which indicates that it was posted by someone who had read anything in the thread. It could plausibly have been generated by a bot copying an old post and replacing a quoted string with the thread title.

Yes, it could also have been made by a human who just didn't think to ask whether a hold existed before asking where to find it, and at this point I think it probably was, but its disconnect from the rest of the thread makes it seem like a possible bot post.

Edit: in fact, looking again, it's "where can I find "Name of Thread" hold"? which if made by a bot, just requires it to be able to toss the word "hold" onto the end of a sentence.
