Actually, the red stuff was supposed to be a brain. Obviously they're not on exactly commensurate scales, and also as obviously, I'm not that effective at portraying. Oh, well.

It's kinda old, but I like it, so I put it in.
Explanation of the comic:
Beethro is trying to to get an orb at least 10 feet up. He gets angry in the 2nd panel, then he sighs in the 3rd panel, and comes back with stilts in the 4th panel.

My guess was that he was snoring as he often does, and was too lazy to get up to hit the orb...

Oooh, reverse tar: monsters that turn into tarstuff ("mashed potatoes") when you smite them. Think of the puhzal potenshehl.

That would work well, but perhaps better with a token. Tarstuff monster, keeping the name potatoes for the moment. The potatoes would start off as normal creatures that move like roaches (or wubbas?). Hit a token, and they become potatostuff, following the same rules. If a potato cannot become part of the potatostuff (i.e. it would only be 1 square wide) it dies instead. Could add extra levels of complexity... potatoes themselves can't be killed? The potato mass cannot be cut?
