Of all the places to get stuck...

Ok, I get into the middle room, and I can either kill or spare the neather guy. If I kill him, I can't find any possible way to kill the roach. If I spare him, he just hides in the alcove, but he wont hit his orb unless I hit the other, which doesn't help because the roach still kills me.

Help!

Hrm, I still can't seem to get anywhere here. No matter how 'mean' I am, I still can never survive the roach. Also, since its impossible to get out of the little alcove if you step on the trap door, and since that orb must be hit in order to leave the level, I don't see how the level would be possible without allowing the Neather to enter the alcove... I have also tried to push the Neather around, but I can't get him to move anywhere helpful.

I am getting really mad at this level. I breezed through the rest of the level in about half an hour, but I have absoultely no idea how to beat this screen.

Right now you are assuming things. Play around for a while after being mean. That was a hint.

Lol, thanks. That was pathetic, it took me 2 hrs of screwing around to finally figure out the easiest room of the level

This is pure speculation, and I'm sure Matt can confirm or deny if he feels like it, but: Maybe the scroll was added late in the beta? My editable copy of DD is quite old, and I haven't recompleted the dungeon...

Zex - do you have editing rights to DD proper, or did you just export an editable version at some point?

I believe I have the rights to DD proper. It came along with the file importation, and I have all the other "eggy" rooms. Just no scroll room there.

So I think it's the DD of 1.5, but that ought not effect the stuff.

Erik hasn't let on anything about what Rooted Hold is like, or even if it properly exists (ten bucks, though). There's no secret room.
