Help again please, I can't get into the middle chamber to kill the mother, with the blue tar I always end up with a round blob which I can't get past, so far I kill all the tar in the top, go to the bottom, turn it red and kill all that but can't get into the mother, can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks very much

Okay, I wait until the tar mother spawns on turn 30, hit the mimic plate. But I can't get down there fast enough. The tar then grows. How do I get faster?

There are three pressure plates which let the mimics cut.

Edit: Post collision, essentially the same hint.

But the tar babies take up too much time when I come out of the top area. for me to get to the lower pressure plate in time.

How are you burrowing into the tar on the bottom? Are you skimming along the top, killing one baby for every bit of tar you break? Or are you burrowing diagonally down so that you can move straight through the tar without killing any babies?

Or are you talking about the babies in the middle section? If there are too many, perhaps you need to be a bit more efficient in the top section? I don't remember there being a lot of babies... maybe 8 max, though I don't have my demo here to confirm that.

Help Please!! I have cleared all the tar/mud from the top & bottom. I am using the presure plate in the middle left 9to use the mimics but I always end up with a round tar blob blocking me from the tar mother. What am I missing?

You probably didn't use the mimics frequently enough. If you let the tar grow too far into the 2-wide corridor you'll never get through.

Sorry, but I don't have my demos on this computer, but I just beat this room yesterday.
Hint: You can clear 2 square wide attached tar without turning your sword (start clearing the top part of the room and you'll see what I mean)
