I need help. I know I have to try to slow the right-hand briars as much as possible, and speed up the left-hand briars so they can kill the beetles in the SW corner, but the best I can get are two dead beetles before both briar patches merge in the southern-most cooridor.

I can get four lengths of briar on the right-hand side exposed and cut off two lengths of briar on the left, or I can cut off all three lengths of briar on the left, and expose only three on the right. Neither option buys me enough time to get the left briar patch to all four beetles.

"Beetles"? Beethro don't do beetles! Them beasties is roaches.

This one is driving me nuts. I came looking for help, and even with noma's walkthrough, I still get killed at the same time as the second pair of roaches.

Good to get back to DROD though. I hadn't played for a long time up to buying TCB.

Noma's method isn't the fastest, but it does work. The key to her method is #8.

Beyond that, if you're still having trouble, post a demo and someone can point out where you're going wrong.

Quick question. If this room is a secret room, why is it available on these forums for discussion when the other secret room isn't?

Secret rooms appear in the screen to select a room if you have a CaravelNet membership, and CaravelNet knows you have visited the room.

Also, what happens sometimes is the topic will be originally associated with a different room, and then someone with the power to do so will change it to the correct room.

To use a demo, download it and put it somewhere you can easily find it (in the DROD folder is ideal). When in game, push f6 to bring up the Demo screen (when you're in 2N, 2W is ideal) and then "Import" the demo. You'll have to navigate to the folder for the demo and select it from the second window from the top.

Once it is done importing, you can click the demo on your list (it will be at the bottom of the list) and then "Watch" to see a step-by-step solution for this level. That's the easiest way to solve the level.

If you are unable or unwilling to do this, please give information on how and when you die despite following the walkthrough above.

I die becouse briar grow together. I destroy all crumble walls on right, drop trapdoors on left, crumble 7-8 walls and i drop from middle right and down trapdoors. I tried other methods, but those dont work too :s. (srry for bad english)

If you're having trouble understanding Noma's post (possibly because English is not your first language) you may wish to tell us your native language in case a native speaker can help you translate better.

Posting your own demo of you trying the room and failing will help us find where you are astray.
