Heya!

I think that in DROD: AE, you should be able to record demos in the editor screen. This way, you don't have to play through yours holds in order to record demos for them. Perhaps from the editor screen, you could start a demo for the current room with F4 (since F5 is for playtesting), and, as in the regular game, use F6 to bring up the Demos Screen.

Oh, that reminds me. The same button shouldn't really have two different uses in a game. The button to playtest a room should itself be different to F5. F4? F7?

Recording demos via the editor presents at least a few little problems. Beethro can be placed in any position in a room when playtesting, so it may be possible to obtain a victory which would, in actual gameplay using normal entrances and exits, be impossible. Also, a one room editor runthrough won't catch any of those navigation problems when playing a hold with a complex map, that would be caught in actual gameplay. Also, manually recorded demos are at the moment cut short whenever Beethro dies, or uses a checkpoint, so in that sense, it might be more frustrating to record an editor demo without changes here too.
