The Underground Civilisation : Goblin Chase : 2 West (0)

The number of safe routes is pretty limited, to one . . . and for me that comes to an early end (before I can kill a single goblin). I've attached a demo showing this route - where did I go wrong?

Thanks for the hints. It sure wasn't obvious (to me) how to get to the goblin-killing zone.
