So I can kill all 9 golems easily enough. However, I can never kill all 9 golems without 8 of the golems surrounding the middle tunnel. And at this point, it seems I am stuck.

Any suggestions?

Ok, I still don't get it. Perhaps it will help if I knew whether the mimic was actually used or not. Right now, it seems the rooms is impossible without it, as it is impossible to get the mimic and not be trapped.

Ok, thanks - that did it. I figured the mimic was probably to try to throw me off (although, even with that spoiler it still wasn't exactly easy to kill them all without getting killed...!)
