Arg... this level seems to be full of impossible rooms.

Here is my thought on this room:

That looks like the approach I've been trying too...but I haven't been able to get it to work yet.

There we go... that makes sense. I found out after posting that my idea didn't work any way.

Thanks

Oh boy . . . I had almost no trouble with the 1S1E rooms on the other two levels, but this one's giving me headaches . . . I can drop the upper two right and leftmost three trapdoors, but after that the snake becomes a significant pest, or dies, and I can't do anything about the rest. (Never mind getting all the way to "roach at 1, etc".

Any hints for the forum dullard (me) are welcome.

Thanks -

Still stuck . . . dropping the trapdoors in different order, etc still hasn't done much for me.

Is even a little hint available?

Thanks -

Surely someone has beat this room . . . if posting to this thread is considered gauche, can I ask for a hint via PM?

Thanks -

And all that before the snake even gets a chance to be unkind. That part comes now ;)

You were right. The best I can manage is to have the snake run straight into an arrow, or manipulat him into the trap with me too far away to seal it off. Please help!(this and the other snake room are killing me :-O )

I have a demo of my closest attempt. This is the only way I can make the snake manageable, but it leaves an open space...

Please help put me out of my misery here. No matter what I do, I end up in the situation in the attached image. I can't find a way to clear the last two trapdoors and leave the roach stranded. Please someone give me a hint, or better still a demo. Thank you.

Umm, I don't see the snake in your picture. That could be the problem.

In any case, here's my demo.

You're right, that is indeed my problem. I know that it has to be there when I clear the last two trapdoors, but the crritter is too fast for me and I can't manoeuvre it to the right place at the right time. I'll look at your demo and see if it shows what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

Thank you Larry. I don't think I would ever have worked that out without the help. Now on to bigger and better things!
