I always have had trouble at getting these puzzles just right. If someone can give some general tips it would be good.

Thanks for the hints guys, but I've already been working under those assumptions. I can get the eye to within one square of where I want it, but it is the last step that is beating me. I just need to work on maximising the distance the eye travels.

ok.. last room, think im just one square shy, but I don't really get any more usage out of the third deco, usually just another square. tried killing the northern decoy but that only ets another square help

EDIT: I asked for a demo because I just didn't get it. Then, I actually got it by looking it over one more. I just missed the most obvious thing.

Also, I solved one room in the Gold Award level already. Man, do the others look tough.
