I know this room must be possible but I don't see how (unless it's the usual, obvious "not looking" thing).

As I see it, you must move from 1 to 2 to stop the roach from heading into the dead end directly in front of it. But that puts the roach 2 squares North and 4 East of you making it impossible to prevent it running straight to 3.

Where can I trap it to be able to manoeuvre it elsewhere? Or have I got the whole principle completely wrong?

Well, I haven't played this room, but I guess you'd have to make a mad dash at the crumbly walls with the north-pointing arrows on top and use the decoy to further manipulate the roach queen.
