I can shorten the snake by one with the second roach. I need to shorten it by two . . . but the first one is of no use since it must either be killed or diverted south. {Checks} Nope, no crumbly walls . . .

How is the snake made to vanish entirely?

All these hints don't help me- I mean, I do it the way zex20913 soposes, which means

I run around like being mad but the snake doesn't get shorter no matter what I try.

I hope the handling the 2. roach will be easier but for the 1. one I don't get the solution.
