So, I'm soon going to cast my vote in the October contest, and thought I'd comment some of the votes I'll make. The problem is that if discussion arises about how the vote is going, that's kind of taking away the whole point of forfeiting the right to vote by viewing the results. Could new tags be inserted, like for example [voted]Text[/voted], where the message only can be read by those who have voted in the particular poll?

It is kind of a good idea; on the other hand, if you post behind a revealtime tag, it'll only be a week until we can all read it anyway, so maybe it's more trouble than it's worth.

Ah, yes, I see what you mean. Though most such polls seem to be things where discussion of the results wouldn't affect the answers ("why did or didn't you by JtRH?", etc.) But yes.

Actually, there have been many times I have wanted to discuss things, but I don't because I worry that it might affect the poll results.(such as which one I prefer in the Tar or Mud poll.)
