Don't attempt if you don't have a lot of extra time on your hands.

A nice, quick little hold. Not too many difficult puzzles or any Aha! moments. Some tedious rooms too. I gave 2.5 brains with a 4 rating.

Maybe this should have been an Al Dente hold...

Yes, It's nice and short and isn't all that difficult. An actually okay beginer hold! I give it a 2.5 brains and a 7 rating becuase there is a severe lack of good easy holds around here.

I discovered how little I enjoy having to walk through 600 zigazgging moves just to get out of a room; having to do half of it again when I re-enter is even less fun.

But that said, I do agree that this is a nice 2.5-brain hold, and that it is good to have fun holds--and other than the extensive walking in a few rooms, it is fun--that aren't too hard. So kudos to Jesse for this.

We've got a mod-system in place. The more good posts you make, the better your rank.

http://forum.caravelgames.com/forumfaq.php#rank

This explains it a bit further.

Edit: POST COLLISION!

It's too bad you posted before reading the FAQ; that's probably what that negative mod is for. Look up at the top of the page for it.

Edit: CRASH! BANG! SCREEEEECH! [post collision]

Not much to add to what was said above. Easy hold, not bad but the third level was really annoying.

2 brains, 6 overall.

Probably you mean that if you exit room 3N to the south then you cannot open a yellow door in 2N?

If so, then the southern exit is not the right way. You can leave this room another way.

Thanks Jason - have another mod point ;)

I reckon 2N needs a bit of editing - an other orb to open the gold door on the way out and a crumbly wall with a S pointing arrow beside the red door- but given that I am so new to the whole "Architecting" business, maybe I'm not the right person to say?

Very easy hold. Not bad, but could use a few checkpoints.

<insert stock complaint about lots of twisty little passages on level 3>

I give it a 4 with 2 brains.

Hmm... just finished the hold. Yes, it's a nice one, especially for beginners. There are a few rooms that have interesting puzzles, but also some, which are annoying (those zig-zag rooms). Furthermore, the hold lacks checkpoints in some places. But all in all, it's well done for the first attempt. A nice one for a 15 minute break.

Difficulty: 3 brains
Rating: 5 points

I'm looking forward playing Jesse's World 2 :)

It's an interesting overall design, but certain rooms were just way too tedious for my tastes. Particularly the "horde of cockroaches" room with the shelter in the middle. Solved in about 5 seconds, but the actual execution took several hundred presses of Q and W. Not fun.

Also, the entrance of level 3 seems like it's not working as planned - there're several squares of tar mother, but the way the force arrows are placed the tar mother doesn't actually spawn, at all, making a room that's really easy but very tedious to get through.

There were some really interesting design elements. I thought I was stuck on the first level with the gates but they were well-placed to do a little trick with them. I kind of liked the room with the bazillion roaches as well.

That being said, there were some rooms that were very tedious. In particular, the first one with the eyes. Having to leave, come back in, kill the eyes, and then go all the way back to hit the orb was unnecessary in my opinion. You shouldn't have had to go get that orb twice.

But some interesting rooms nonetheless. Thanks!
