I would like to have the possibility to program Bethro to solve a room by writing a the list of moves in a basic-like syntax.

For example:

up
down
down
for i = 1 to 10
up
down
clockwise
anticlockwise
down
next i

To made thing simple no variable (excluding for index), no while or loop construct and surely no if.

What do you think?

Then why play?

It seems to be a "feature" of DROD that occasionally, you have to do a stupid amount of tedious stuff (such as level 21), depending on the design of the level. Sure, no-one likes it, but decent checkpoint placement for the most part alleviates that.

It doesn't really add much to DROD, is all I'm saying.
