Well, actually, 11 episodes aired (out of 14). And then the sales of the DVDs and the ratings for the re-plays on the Sci-Fi channel showed that there was a lot of interest in it so they made the movie. We discussed this a lot in another thread on the Anything forum a while back.

(Man, and I even knew Bedazzled. It's got some great scenes, though I think the remake is better paced.)
