This came to me in a sort of half-dazed waking period. I don't have the skills to actually create it, but maybe somebody here will see it and like it.
The objective is Sokoban's--get all the spots covered with objects.
However, the gameplay is totally different. The objects are balls that move either horizontally or vertically, displaying which direction they move in. When they hit a wall, they turn around, and go the opposite direction. When they hit another ball, they turn around, and the other ball goes in the direction the "
hitter"
ball was moving.
The character you play has the ability to stop a ball. No turning around, just stopping. The character can cover a spot to open the door. Once all the spots are covered, the door automatically opens, and stays open. Or the level ends/objective complete, whatever.
It's played on a gridspace (a la DROD, Wonderquest, etc.)
Some possible elements:
1. Arrows--changes the ball's direction to the direction the arrow is pointing.
2. Stopper walls--walls that balls don't bounce off of.
3. Blocks--moveable objects, a la Sokoban/Wonderquest.
Again, it's not really all that refined right now, but I think it would be neat to play.
That, and I just had to put it somewhere.
