Help! This clown is starting to really depress me!

I've spotted the small trick with the nose but still I can't come anywhere close to completing the room. A small hint as to what direction I should be facing when I hit the orb would be much appreciated.

I think I need another hint here. My guess is that to complete this room you have to make use of the guard to kill roaches but beyond that I'm stumped.

I can't get anywhere near the nose, there are just too many monsters. Do you have anything a bit more spoilerish please?

Just hit the orb, and walk towards the nose. You will get close to the nose

Im not sure why but for some reason my nose doesn't toggle. I f I highlite the orb with the cursor everything shows green no orange. Any suggestions
