Don't worry, lst6. After some googling I have found the answer.
The first coordinates are in Bodrum, Turkey, which was built on the ruins of Helicarnassus.
The second coordinates are in Babylon, Iraq.

The link between the two is that each was the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, namely the Mausoleum at Helicarnassus and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Thats right. The volcano is called Piton de la Fournaise. It is one of the most unique places I have ever been to.

Yay, I got it, first I thought Cape Canaveral, then I remembered they changed to Cape Kennedy, well, I'm still one round behind.
I wanted to post the Google look at this fountain:



But in version 4 there's a shadow over it, so the joke is gone.
This fountain, close to the german border looked like this (look at the center of the pic):



So the new contest is to find this easy to find city on the pic below.

Suggestions:
The green suggests a dense forest.
The two rivers of different colors mix slowly, to form one of the worlds largest rivers, it is one of the main touristic attractions of the city that also has a very nice opera house and even in winter it is far too hot.
Because nobody wanted to live there, they made it partially tax free.
