The following may be stupid, but usable. :-> my opinion

If you drink the potion, it lets you place a piece of crumbled wall, somwhere into the room.

This will especially make sense in rooms with serpents and in rooms with living tar.

explanation:

1)serpents: Well, i think, ther's no need for explaination
2)living tar: It could be useful, for preventing the tar from expanding into a specific direction.

I think that I agree. In addition to those two, you would also be able to fend off more hoards. Say, if they come in three, block one! I think that this would be a good addition to the game.

However, I don't know what Erik would think about this. It may be getting too close to the Sokoban type, so even though it would be beneficial, it may not be desired.
