Okay, I decide to see what would happen if someone had 0 rank points, and the person on the forum with the lowest that I know of is Deadly Bar of Death, he was at two. I modded him down twice, and now he's at one. I modded him down one more time, and he's still at one. How come one is the lowest you can go?

Well, donning my nerd hat I'd say the value can't become negative and 0 rank points is reserved for something else...

But that's just my educated guess...

As a side note, that probably means that rank points max out somewhere in the vicinity of 65535

Once upon a time, a man was thrust into negative mod points, and this gave him the title of 'Admin'. (None of the powers, though.)

All had a good giggle, but it was fixed.

In the Moderation thread, AlefBet gave the figure of 99999582 mod points (them moderators, always making fun of the proletarian crowds!). So, mod points can reach at least ten millions (minus one) without triggering an overflow.

Since that figure isn't anywhere near one of the magic numbers, the upper boundary is probably a good deal further than that... not that it matters, since ten millions is kind of difficult to reach. If mod points are handled that way, it might be the same for rank points.

Hey! I figured that the bar, being Really Deadly and all would be able to get some more ranks points after my experiment. I mean, I only took away one, someone took away 22!
