Everything's spelled right. My only complaint is that the "X" is not symmetrical.

Also, you can Maybe add some levels. Geography, History, Art! Make it long!

Fun stuff!

Room comments.
1E- Why not have all the orbs open all the doors. As it is, each time you go through the room you have to hit the central orb again.

1S- You could remove the mimic potions as the room is still pretty easy w/o them.

1W- I started playing this room and the slayer appeared after me. I exited the room w/o solving it, then when I replayed the room the slayer never appeared.

Overall.
I'd say the rooms are all easy to average difficulty. They looked nice and were fun to play.

Right now I'd call it "Math Class" unless you add some new subjects like Ezlo suggestd.

The stairs still go from math to end hold.

Also, it is usually good to set the hold to "anyone edit" for testing.

Interesting.

In the editor the stairs from floor 1 go to end hold.
But the stairs from floor 2 go to floor 3.

At least testers can check it out using the editor.

Possibly you could try tossing in a temporary warp room. I'd rather not play it in the editor.

Ok, I finished the entire hold. Whew.

I love the school theme.
Even better, you didn't just say, "The theme is school." and then ignore it. Every single room had to do with the theme. Excellent job!

I found Math and PE most enjoyable.

I wonder if you could include the class in each level title somehow? Maybe "Pd. 1: Math" or something.

sp. "Japanese".

Most of the rooms were average to easy difficulty and played pretty smoothly.

As you noted, the German flag was a bit labor intensive. I also found the "American Revolution" to be tedious. Run all around the room to kill the tar/mud mothers then run all around the room again for the babies. Of course this might be what you're looking for since this is a war.

Overall, I like it. :thumbsup

EXTRA CREDIT:
As good a job as you did with your theme, if you could take it a step further this might go from being a "good" hold to a "great" hold.
Each level is a subject: Great!
Every room is a class: Great!
The rooms have scrolls saying the class name which is good and all the rooms are drawn to represent that class which is good. The trick would be to make the rooms PLAY like that class.

For example.
You have the PE class "running" where you actually have to run across the screen.
You have photography, where you have a mimic copying your moves on a seperate half of the screen (sort of like a photograph copies pictures).
I think you did this well in other cases also, but then there are more classes that feel like "Well, here are a group of random monsters (slayer optional)" to make this a challenging room.
Maybe for algebra, you could have the numbers which look cool, but then make some puzzle that represents counting in some way. The more classes you make actually play like that class the better! :yes

Good luck with the hold.

3rd period 1N2E - The sword locking device doesn't work. And it should probably be spelled "Pole Vault".

4th perdiod 3W - It sez here that the plural of "seep" is "seep" (oddly enough).

CA, I downloaded this and played it. It ended after the 1st Level. Did I download the wrong version?

What I played I liked; interesting and rewarding without being as fiendish as some I have tried (and given up on).

I was going to say, as others above have said, that I think you should extend it to include other subjects, but then it is obvious reading other posts that I haven't seen all of the Hold.

How about a puzzle in the shape of a trumpet?

Elfstone.

9 rooms of First Period completed and up the stairs in 1N and I get the Hold totals and then the black screen with
"You conquered School v1.5"
click on that and I'm back to the Play/Restore/Change page.

Still puzzled.

You found a stairs bug, Elfstone. The stairs end the hold instead of leading to the next level. Until it's fixed you can play the rest of the hold in the editor.

(Don't know why I'm helping you.. grrrrr.. I suspect it's you who's been snatching bar goodies from under my nose. Every time a goodie's about to drop you come online, I click in vain, and next thing another goodie's been awarded.)

Nice hold. Very well themed. As Larry said, this can be a great hold.

The scroll in First Period:2W claims that the limit in 1W is undefined, which is not true. The limit equals 3, although the function 3x/x isn't defined at 0. (And wrong again: I do care ;) )

Thanks, but where do I find/how do I get to the Editor? I've looked on both menu pages and can see no reference to it.

How can you tell that a goodie is "about to drop"?

Click "Build Levels", select the hold and level at the top left, and the room at the bottom left. Click "Edit Room", press F5, and click on the square you want to begin playing. Press Esc to stop playing. Before pressing F5 you may sometimes want to choose a specific orientation with which to start. Use the rotation keys (q and w) to change the orientation, which is indicated by the roach at the top left.

I can't really, I only sometimes know that it's about time for a goodie to appear. Or rather, I thought I knew - the last gap was at least three hours, which threw out all my carefully calculated strategies.. Damn bar :angry

Ahhaaa.
Well then, how do you know that a goodie has dropped and who has it?

I can tell from the bar statistics page that another goodie's been awarded. If, for instance, 1421 goodies have been awarded, everyone who's online other than, say, a certain Elfstone, is already listed as having all ten goodies, I click, nothing happens, and the next moment 1422 goodies have been awarded, then I know... Not watertight, of course, and I'm making some assumptions about how it all works, but that's how I caught you. :)

Here's another example of how you might make a room play like the class.

This is what I came up with for the PE class Track.

You may use/alter/dismiss these rooms as you please(no credits required).

I think we are both wrong, the limit is 0

...and I'm going to go back and edit it soon,
my problem is posting it, I don't know how I can post it without only having accece to the first level

No, the limit is 3. To be formal, the function f defined by f(x) = 3x/x for all x not 0 is just the function g defined by g(x)=3 for all x with 0 removed from it's domain. (i.e. g = Rx{3} and f = g-{(0,3)}.) So as x tends to 0 (or anything else, for that matter) the function is constantly equal to 3, hence it "approaches" 3. This is rather a typical example of the whole point of limits, namely that it doesn't depend on the value of the function in the limit point, or even whether the function is defined there, but only on points near it.

More mathematically, saying that the limit is 3 reduces to:
For every r>0 there is an s>0 such that for every x with 0<|x|<s, |f(x)-3|<r. (You're probably used to epsilon and delta, but I don't know how to make them, and any symbols will do. Also, strictly speaking, there is the requirement of f being defined in a deleted neighbourhood of 0, which is clearly true.)

So, to prove it, let r>0 be given: Take s=1. Now, for any x with 0|x|<s, f(x)=3, so |f(x)-3|=0<r, and there we go.
