What about a monster, that behaves like a roach, but can eat it's way through the tar like beethro. It should chase him like a roach but if a tar blocks it's way and it can be destroyed(like beethro could do witch his sword) it moves into the tar.

It could be a great harm to beethro, as it my create lot's of 2x2 tar blocks, if beethro doesn't move the right way. They could block the way.

Great idea! This has not been thought up before. I like it, providing a couple of questions are answered.

1. Could it eat tar mothers/tar babies?
2. What if it is in tar when the mother expands tar?

I think the answers should be:

1. No. Only living tar should be eaten.
2. It should be annihilated if it is in the tar when it expands. However, if it is in a space where a tar baby would be created, the tar eater takes precedence.

Also, I think we need a cooler name than "tar eater".
