I have no idea how to solve this room

I surely have to place the mimic at 1.
Then i saw 2 options:
1. Try to open the red barrier. Problem: I come only to point 2.

2. Try to kill the last tar durectly: Problem: I only come
to point 3.

Which is the correct plan and what is wrong ?

You can go either way. The second is faster. Hope that helps.

I have already tried this, but there is always one tar baby escaping to the north.

×That's the one you should use. Follow it with the mimic, then push the mimic against it (once W, once N), then kill it.
