I've gotten what I presume is about halfway through this area, but I think I may have hit a bug. There's a save-game hut at (17, 23) surrounded by two force arrows preventing entry from either direction. The arrows can't be inverted or ignored, since Sophie's icon isn't around. They can't be turned off; I've checked every orb in the room. I get the feeling I'm meant to pass through that area at least once, since the only other exit from the big lower area leads to a dead end blocked by seemingly unopenable blue doors.

Is one of those force arrows supposed to be facing the other way?

It seems you got your "Snakes on a plain" topic description. ;)

It's not a bug. Hint:

I was just about to come back and post that I'd got it. :)

Now it's just Nightmare (3) before I face those Flying Gardens...

Hm, I suppose it'll be a bit neater to ask here than to post a whole other topic...

Snake Nightmare (3) has had me stumped for a while. I can easily (well, not easily, but I can do it) sneak up and down through the second eye chamber using the snake and the elemental as cover, and I've managed to open the yellow door and take out the three eyes adjacent to it, but I just can't seem to figure out how to go through the door without having the snake hit a pressure plate.

This room is tricky.

Here it goes Bro:

Do the sequence above.

Edit-> try to master the "el torero" maneuver here. (Last post).

It'll be far easier to handle snakes once you learn it.

So awesome. So very, very awesome. :D

I'd actually tried something very similar, but only thought of going one square north of the door instead of two. Making my way through the steps now...
