Ok, this might just be me, but I can never find any ere posts when using the search page.
Is there any way to use wildcards, or OR's or case-insensitive search? The current setup just seems extremely pedantic.

For example, I was searching for posts on the "Pitiful" hold, but spelt it all in lower case so got no hits. I obviously then changed the case, but it does seem oddly restrictive.

Um.

That is to say: yes, I too would love to see either a finer-grained search function, or an explanation of how to (better) use the current searching function.

(I thought perhaps it was just me, and that there were instructions somewhere buried in a FAQ, but I never succeeded in finding such a FAQ, since, well, ...)

well ther is one located just under beethro's head at the top of your browser, and one stickied to this subforum.

However, from memory they don't have much info on the search thingo.

The one stickied is for CaravelNet, not the forum.

As for the site one, I suppose that one day, sometime in the not so distant future, it should get rewritten. Not that I don't look forward to doing it, just that I have to take the time to make sure that I don't try to include details on CaravelNet related things in the Forum FAQ. It'll be fun, I'm sure.
