×This is a 16 player game. Signups close 48 hours after Gmail starts working again. After the signup period is complete, the 16 players will be randomly selected. In the unlikely event of too few players, I will attempt to see if the game is startable as is and do so.
In the game of Mafia, everyone is assigned a role. This will likely be someone from The Eigth. Your role will have a varied effect. No two roles are the same. You will be PMed with your role prior to the game starting.
The game will be divided into Day and Night. In order to ensure a timely pace, a night will never be more than 48 hours. Every night, people with Night roles will PM me with their choices. No one can post in the thread during Night. Night will end at the deadline or when all targets have been received. If a target is not chosen, then it will be decided at random the first time, and ignored thereafter.
During the Day, the previous night's events will be made public (note: only some events will be public, such as death), and the discussion and lynch will start. During discussion, anyone may post about whatever they feel like. During the Day, bold a statment saying Vote: Mike Rimer (Or whoever else it is you wish to vote for) simply Unvote: Erik. You cannot change your vote without unvoting first. As soon as majority (of the populus, not the votes) is reached, voting closes, and the chosen person shall be lynched. Unvotes past the lynching vote will have no effect. If the deadline is reached, the lynching majority will decrease by 1 every 4 hours until someone has majority. If two people would get majority as a result, the first one to have reached majority is lynched. During the Night following a lynch, the dead player will be allowed a final speech, equivalent to what they would say just before the final lynch.
When any one player's win condition is reached, the game shall end and any player who would win, will win. There shall be no less than five different conditions through which to win.
Anyone who does not get selected or is unable to post during signups will be a replacement. If a player is inactive for too long, they may be replaced, or if they request to be. Please, do not edit your posts.

Today, the DAA (Dungeon Architects Association), the organization that brought you such great holds as King Dugan's Dungeon, King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0, and The Wrong Way, has now officially launched a press release regarding previously unknown elements being developed by the Rooted Empire in an area known only as The City Beneath, speculated to lie somewhere between King Dugan's Dungeon and Rooted Hold.

The DAA is happy to report that our agents have captured select specimens of the elements and our technicians are rapidly learning to reproduce them. Soon, many new elements will be available for the architects. Unfortunately, our agents have not yet discovered the names of some of these elements, although both the Fegundo and the Gargoyle seem to be popular favorites"

In order to prepare people for these new elements, the DAA will be holding a tour of a dungeon specially designed to showcase these new elements. All are welcome, as long as you conduct yourself in a respectable fashion."
Expected attendees include Architects who wish to work first-hand with these new elements, Smitemasters who wish a heads up for when they encounter these elements in full dungeons,
nobles who wish to inform their guards of how to handle these elements representatives of nobles who have been ordered to inform the nobles' guards of how to handle these elements, and monsters who wish to get acquainted before meeting in a tense dungeon situation.
The tour is expected to start sometime next week, although the DAA says that due to "
Gmail-related difficulties"
, the date cannot be exactly determined. The people who have currently arrived are discussing what the grob this means.
