I noticed that one of our omnipotent admins changed the names of different levels of postness (hmmm...I probably could have worded that better. Oh well). Would whoever changed it like to post the list of numbers of posts and names associated with them?

Sorry... ^_^; I was messing around. I decided not to mess with the post numbers, and just change the names of administrators and Jr. Members.

Legendary Smitemaster : Administrator
Moderator : None
Sr. Member : 30 posts
Member : 15 posts
Roachling : 1 post
Guest : 0 posts

Sorry about the confusion folks.

If you want them all in theme, \"wraithwing\" for \"member\" and \"goblin\" for \"sr. member\" would work.

Ah, but who\'s to say that a goblin is better than a wraithwing?

I originally had Tar Baby and Tar Mother, but pulled it out because of gender issues when calling people \"mothers.\" :)

How about \"smitemaster\" and \"delver\" or something of the like? To stick with the exploration thingy

How about -

Jr. Member - Delver
Member - Smitemaster
Sr. Member - Legendary Smitemaster

Administrator - \'Neather
Moderator - Brain

Since you guys are the ones running this place, after all :)

Oh, and goblins are better than wraithwings since they start appearing deeper down. Simple dungeon logic, that.

I\'m personally adverse to having the admin\'s be on the same scale as the regular posters. Maybe it\'s just convention from other boards I read and moderated, but usually it\'s best to have admins clearly marked with a label that notes that they are special - and not just because they have more posts (if they do). \"Legendary smitemaster\" implies being better at doing what smitemasters do - in this case, posting on the board. It doesn\'t evoke the sense of authority that is necessary for admins to do their job - at least not if you can get to \"smitemaster\" just by posting a lot (or a little, in this case).

I\'ve made up my mind:

-- Legendary Smitemaster : Admin
-- Moderator : Moderator (we have none, it may change if we get one)
30 Delver : Sr. Member (Not a smitemaster, but he knows the ropes)
15 Goblin : Member (One of the higher monsters)
01 Roachling : Jr. Member (You post sissy)
00 Guest : Guest

So Nyah!

Eh...I\'d prefer to be a smitemaster, but delver is a respected position as well.

Can there be anything above a delver? Once one\'s reached that point, there should be something to reach for.

I\'d like to come up with about 30 or 40 divisions, but since Erik shot up all the posts into the thousands... *glares at Erik*

Would anyone object if I subtracted 1000 from their post count (of those that have at least that)? :P

Nevermind, I\'ll think of something. What did I get myself into?

Sure, take that 1000 away. It doesn\'t matter since most of us are above the limit anyway. And plus, we should all earn the levels.

Clayton, it doesn\'t matter to me how you want to set it up. That would be kind of neat to have more levels.

Here\'s a couple of suggestions for post levels:

Mimic
Roach
Wraithwing
Goblin
Toolbearer
Pathfinder
Delver
Smitemaster
Conqueror of Level 13 (should be fairly high, it takes patience to get here, y\'know :P)
Teller of Exaggerated Stories (should be the highest rank :D)

And I think it\'s okay to kick my postcont down to where it belongs (about 5).
