Treacle Stew : Level Two : 2 South, 1 West (0)

Hint guy's hints aren't helpful to me, and neither is the scroll, because I can't get any more than the westmost cracked orb hit and then everything I try after results in still no way to hit any more orbs without the button being unpressed first. I don't imagine I'll find this room any less of a nightmare after freeing the wraithwings either, considering there's two of them.

I pretty much have gel babies at

and then hit the orb and then...no amount of fiddling with the three available monsters seems to work. Is this just the wrong place to start (although it's the only way I've found) or what?

Important note: You do not need both wraithwings. You can clear this room by killing one of them immediately after releasing it.

I am not spoilering this because everybody should know this for the sake of their sanity.

Don't think I can say I enjoyed this room. I did find it kind of funny when I accidentally chased a wraithwing into the hint guy after basically finishing the puzzle and he died of it, though.

Get a wraithwing to point 1.

Get into the top row and lead a gel baby on the west side so that it's one tile NW of the wraithwing.

Now stay five tiles away from the wraithwing at all times, and the gel baby will stay on the plate. The entire top row of orbs is reachable from five tiles away, so finishing up is easy at this point.

Execution can be tricky even once you have a clear goal, so let me know if you need any help getting into this position.

I cannot see the picture sadly, though it's weird, when I played TSS I remember could see these type of pictures, despite not having a CN membership.

I'm not sure where point 1 is, but I managed to lure the two gel babies at (15,6) and (16,7) (at the beginning, I lured the north baby at (33,12) and retrieved it back later).

How should I continue?

It is absolutely possible from that position, that's how I did it.

The key thing to take advantage of is that a wraithwing will not move if you're exactly five tiles away from it.

×...How are we meant to even get the gel babies to one of those positions? Everything we try results in either being forced to off a gel baby (making it overtly impossible), step off the plate (meaning we can't get the gel baby below), or die (meaning we die). It doesn't help one of those pairs puts one at (17,7), where we're trying to park a wraithwing later on.

We're still stuck on this one and, full disclosure, it's kinda driving us nuts. A few questions...

You can ignore that post, it is 100% possible to do parking them on the westmost door. My advice above applies to that situation.
