I'm struggling with this room.



I have to put the mirrors at 1 and 2, otherwise the NW hydra will get stuck.

But then I can't prevent the SE hydra from turning N at 7.

I think I want to aim for the firetraps at 3, 4, 5, 6, but I can't reach all four at the same time.

Not quite, it's the hydra that wants to go south on the same turn.

As for the room start, all four hydras arrive on their respective first grass squares and each of them must be forced to choose the right path. I have four options as to where to stand in that turn, as far as I can see the square is the only one that doesn't lead to an instant game over. But that makes the SE hydra do a little detour, which sets up the conflict a few turns later.

Edit:

demo playback is glitching in this hold. The hydras' animation comes out all wrong as long as the demo is on autoplay, the effect is most visible in the demo preview window. Strangely, as soon as I pause the demo and begin manually replaying the turns, hydra animation appears OK.
