Okay, I've managed to get the goblin on the Hot tiles, but I have no clue on what I should do next to get the goblin off my back. Any hints?

That would depend on how you entered the room.

I've been in the room by the 2n 3w room of the lava gates level but I can't solve the room because the sword is rotate in nw. Any hints?

I'm sorry, I don't understand the problem. You are supposed to start this room with sword NW.

What can you do the first time you enter this room? The only two things I've accomplished so far are: head for the staircase and get killed by the briars; and lead the goblin onto the hot tiles, and either fry him or get eaten.

maybe I'm not clear: i'm in the room with the sword in nw and I'm near the ladder. If I go up the goblin follow me and go in the hot tile but I must turn off and the goblin too. I can't see the solution...

How does one get to the staircase, then? There aren't any other open staircases on this level, before this room is beaten.

That's right, when you first enter this room, you can't do anything. You can't conquer the room, and you can't reach those stairs. However, if you figure out how to enter near the stairs (see mxvladi's hint), you'll have your sword NW and you'll be in a good position to solve the room.

A couple features of the room are used in its solution.
1. Notice that there are no hot tiles on (22,18) and (23,18).

2. Also notice the force arrow and orthosquare in the NW corner.

You should check the high scores for this level.
Apparently, somehow (don't know how) one person had beaten this room with 15 moves. Thing is that person started in a position that is kinda impossible, unless there is something I don't know.
