Never said I was normal :P.
Anyway, I'm not gonna answer this, it's unfair since I know the recipe.

Okay, next puzzle, I guess. (Another homegrown one, so forgive the lack of polish.)

There's a fellow with rather unusual tastes who has composed a favorite recipe that calls for the following ingredients:

1 tsp granulated sugar
2 cups flour
3 pinches salt
4 tbsp baking powder
5 quarts milk
6 eggs
7 cubes margarine
8 fl oz water
9 cloves garlic
10 tbsp brown sugar

However, this version of the recipe is not the original version. It has been repeated (e.g. doubled, tripled, quadrupled...). By what amount has it been repeated?
Well, since you can't use half an egg or half a pinch, I'll say it's been tripled.

deft

I'm guessing it's only easy when you know the answer. Clutching at straws here: is the spelling error in 'obnoxious' intentional?

Just a shot in the dark:

staffs.hazy.pancakes.Aragorn's.crackers.wages.slandering.
dangerously.administrators.janitor.assumption.break.
Stephan.reserved.sleuthing.critters.incorporation.
congratulations.stowing.bowing.obnoxious.shrouds.
stumpy.squeaked.jukeboxes

PS: If several words can be switched about, that's not an order.
In fact, I'm pretty sure the very meaning of the word "order" is
"That thing, you know, whose components can't be switched about" :)

Oh bunnies.I am so sorry everyone. My mistake I copy and pasted it but I messed up and switched some words. Sorry everyone that there was an unanswerable riddle here for a very loooong time.Okay everyone yell and scream.Ill post a new one.
7 3 4 6
3 8 6 ?
What is the number?
And once again sorry.
Ps:the answer was "supposed to be" that all the letters of the alphabet were there and in the order of the aphabet words it had a vowel in order. Such as: aa be ci.

I think it's a 5. The first two digits add to 10, as do the next two. The first two of the second set of digits add to 11, and there's a 6 floating there, so I think it's a 5.

I am a set of four letters, always in the same order. I have a friend, consisting of three letters. I can be pronounced in five different ways depending on the combinations of my friend's letters on either side of me. Not every letter in my friend is used each time, though sometimes they may be used twice. What four letters am I, and what letters make up my friend?

To word that a little more clearly, what four letters can be pronounced in five different ways depending on the word they're in, and what three letters can you add in various orders to the front and/or back of the four letters to create the words that contain those sounds?

You are "ough" and your friend is "thr". Consequently, you can be pronounced as in "ought," "tough," "though," "trough," or "through."

Although, if you'd make friends with "d" or "b" as well, you could be pronounced as in "drought" or "bough," and if you made friends with "ic", you could be pronounced as in "hiccough."

A lightbulb factory creates a million lightbulbs a day. The pressure inside a lightbulb has to fit very strict standards, and be pretty close to vacuum. The problem is, out of a million, about 3 lightbulbs don't meet the standard. Obviously, making a hole inside the bulb to check pressure and then seal it up again would work, but the very same standards say that you can't sell lightbulbs with holes, no matter how good you seal them up again. Give the factory manager a good way to make sure the factory meets the standards.

Simple solution: Change the standard.

In real life though, I have never seen any manager who cares. It is not needed anyway, because it is called risk management.
