Around this time last year, I discovered DROD. I believe it was March 27th, 2006. (Which is tomorrow for me.) I was on the SillySoft page (another web-site) and I saw it advertized. I read up about it, and downloaded the demo. I instantly fell in love with DROD. Then about ten days later, I bought the whole thing. I got KDD, some SmS and CaravelNet.

I started work on my first hold on April 1st, 2006. And published it later, after I had registered on the forums on May 6th, 2006.

Even though I didn't register until at least a month later, I had been playing DROD for longer. And, look at me now! I'm completely addicted to DROD.

So, I'd like to thank the Caravel Team, the forum, and anyone else related to DROD. Thanks so much! And I'd also like to thank SillySoft for even advertising DROD in the first place. Thanks dustin!

You can go forwards but not backwards unless this thing such as negative energy exists.

I'm nearing my 1 year mark. I don't even remember how I first found out about DROD, other than I have a sneaking belief that it was mentioned in a column in my local newspaper. Which would be about one of the only good things to come of that paper, other than bringing me "Get Fuzzy" and "Foxtrot".

Now I have a favorite game, infinite expansion (go, architects!), a forum (I don't post anywhere else), and some friends who very soon are going to break down and try it, if only to understand what the heck I'm on about.

And I got seriously shocked this evening when I thought the bar read 99.95%; alas, only 99.5%

Wouldn't it be great if it WAS 99.95 today? Then the next day it was 99.995? Then the next day, because it's April 1, they bump it down to "Seriously, never gonna be released. Ever.%", but actually put the download link in some random place on the site/forum? Like in this thread maybe? I'd fall over laughing and bruise my already bruised tailbone if they did that!

But we really shouldn't get all uppity about it, since Erik has been playing on chessboards since his childhood, and Webfoot probably had beta testers.
