This is just a general information request, but could be useful for reporting bugs for DROD in future.

When there's a crash of a type that means Microsoft wants an error report, how would I go about obtaining the full information of that error report for myself (including memory dumps, dll versions and everything else that is sent)? Are the full error log files stored somewhere (file locations?) or would I have to have something installed/configured first? I've tried Google, but all I've gotten so far are some rather non-user friendly Microsoft articles designed for people who aren't me.

I have no idea. It may involve throwing an exception while running the Windows API, and that doesn't exactly help. Try the Mozzila Foundation. I'm sure they know.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did a little more digging myself

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;308538

Start>Run> drwtsn32

The file I'm looking for is (for me) at

C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Dr Watson\\drwtsn32.log

And the last crash is reported (including all the information I was asking about) at the end of the log file. I'm not sure how useful that information would be to the average programmer (I am blissful in my semi-ignorance) but there it is.
