I almost forgot why I hated perfection type rooms. Almost.
I can do most of this room just fine up until the fourth chamber with the tar baby and the walls forming and 8-shape of sorts (not the final chamber with the three bars of tar babies contained in a red door).
On the one hand, I can kill the brain by going as fast as possible, but it will leave me nowhere to retreat, so I die next turn to the tar baby. On the other hand, if I kill the tar baby, I move in such a way where I can't so much as move to the brain to kill it without setting off the bomb trap prematurely, and making the room unsolvable. Similarly, since I have to face W, I can't rotate my sword or else I'll set off the bombs, and, well, there goes the room's solvability.
Am I missing something? Is there some cheeky path I'm not taking? Some obvious way to halt the mimic I just didn't see?
EDIT: Oh hey! If there's one thing I wouldn't miss, it's my
Chronic H&S Syndrome. If you're a dummy like me...

×You're not meant to chase the tar baby into the same area as the brain.

×You have to take him out up the top.

×Lure the tar baby as far as you can south without committing, then rush back north. You can take it out just fine without having to worry about going too far east. Then you can rush back to the brain in peace.
