Arrr....I can't seem to figure out what to do with the 'trapped' snake. When I get it out, there is no time to maneuver it into the only dead ends in the room. So do I have to use a bomb to kill it? BEcause if I have to, there would be no time left to get to the other door anyways. O_o

Uhh...I must not be seeing it. I see three dead ends, all of which are on the far left, nowhere remotely close where I have to be when the bomb goes off.

it's a little bit tricky, but this is the whole hold ;-)
at one step the 'watcher' gives you a comment about this snake...

read the next only when you really can't figure it out by yourself!

Are you able to get the message "You got the snake out in time"?

At that point,

Uhh...It appears I am getting the snake out in the least possible amount of moves. But I get the message saying that "The serpent still hasn't escaped yet. That's bad news!" One move away from the snake exiting. I don't see anywhere else that I can make up a move, because it is getting out in the fewest number of moves as I can make it. And yes, I killed all the other snakes.

Magically, I got it now that I posted about it. Larrymurk = God. :D

This room always screws me up. If you're 1 move short like that...

I'm in exactly the same position Cheese Obsessive was, except that I can't see how to make up that one move. The last snake never fails to make a move and goes the shortest way - unless I am missing something - but I still get the message that it's too late.

Ah, thanks. You need to have eyes up your, errr, I mean eyes everywhere at this game. I'd wondered why I started to see the message when I hadn't seen it the first couple of times I attempted the room.

I cant seem to be able to do this. I can get the serpent out and I can get to the door in time but I don't see how to kill the snakes without moving. If I use the optional bomb, I can't get there in time.

Why did you create a new thread?

If these msgs can be moved I think it would be better.

Thanks Mike :rolleyes

I merged the new thread with the old one. Would you reattach your (apparently lost) demo?

So... On move 15, the bombs explode to kill the north/central snakes, and I am standing on (13, 6) with sword facing NE. Leaving only the southern group of snakes, and the single bomb that can kill them: and the slightly longer trapped snake.

My trouble is, I have to get far enough south to ensure that the nine miniature snakes on the left are all caught by the bomb, but this does not leave me time to get back up to the top to toggle the door for the trapped snake to take the shortest path out.

Can anyone describe the sequence of moves from this?
