Oh, hey Tom. I was expecting you to use the name frogman or something like when you registered, since that\'s your AIM screenname.

Everyone, imrdy88 is my friend Tom. Let\'s all be really nice to him.

Tom, just so you know, ErikH2000 is the guy who made DROD and ClaytonW is the guy who runs the website.

Oh, and by the way everybody, don\'t call him Tommy. He hates that.

Ok guys, I\'m going to add a few more questions just to keep things interesting. Just a side note for Tom, I got the idea for a few of these questions from a conversation I had with Laura.

If you could be stuck on a desert island with one person (alive or dead, and you can\'t pick Beethro), who would it be? Jerry Rubin (before he sold out)

What is your number one favorite thing in the entire world to do? Sleep in. Late.

What\'s the dumbest thing you\'ve ever done? I\'ve done many dumb things...too many to count or choose only one.

What\'s your proudest moment? Getting accepted to college.

Are you a morning person or a night person? Night.

That\'s all I can think of right now. C\'mon people, let\'s not let this stop. I wan\'t all of you to answer these new questions and ask a few of your own. Whenever you think up a question, post it!

How long have you been playing DROD? I can\'t play it. I suck at it.
Beaten? I\'ve beaten DROD\'s creator.
Admin: I already am an admin.

If you could be stuck on a desert island with one person (alive or dead, and you can\'t pick Beethro), who would it be? The professor from Gilligan\'s island.

What is your number one favorite thing in the entire world to do? Snorkeling.

What\'s the dumbest thing you\'ve ever done? In 5th grade, I pretended to be an ice skater and I fell and chipped my tooth badly. In 6th grade, I chipped the same tooth again in gym class, when I tripped and got hit in the mouth with a knotted rope.

If you could be stuck on a desert island with one person (alive or dead, and you can\'t pick Beethro), who would it be? Hunter S. Thompson--no! A female version of myself, but much sexier. Yeah, that one!

What is your number one favorite thing in the entire world to do? Start a new project.

What\'s the dumbest thing you\'ve ever done? I walked to the top of a parking garage and then to the bottom, searching for my parked car. It was something like 10 stories. Didn\'t find my car, and I repeated the search two more times. Went to the attendant and asked why they towed my car. It turned out that the parking lot had interleaved floors, and I had searched all the odd-numbered ones. My car was on one of the even-numbered floors.

What\'s your proudest moment? Stopping a fight on a bus.

Are you a morning person or a night person? Morning.

I never knew that someone could be allergic to cats but not dogs. Maybe it\'s because they shed a lot during certain seasons (I would know, I have one).

Real Name: That\'s for me to know and you to... uh... nevermind.
Location: Chelmsford (bonus points if you know what state that\'s in)
Age: 14 1/2
Hair: Black
Eyes: Hazel/Brown, varies with light
Height: 5\' something
Job/Grade/College: 8th grade
Favorite Anything: None, I try not to have favorites of anything (either that or it\'s such a weird mix of stuff that you can\'t really categorize it)
How long you have been playing DROD: Not very long, I think about a month
Have you beaten DROD: No, steadily working on it
If not, how far are you: Level 9
Favorite level: Okay, maybe I do have a favorite level so far. Actually, two. One is level 7, because I love outsmarting the serpents and watching them, in a sense, commit suicide. The other is level 8, because tar-stabbing is addictively fun. Annoying, but fun.
Least favorite level (new category): Level 4, because I don\'t really like mimics.
Favorite thing to do: Anything involving either computers and video games, or sleep (and sometimes both, in which case I dream about video games)
Dumbest thing ever done: Almost anything you can name that has the words \"social blunder\" in the description.
Morning or night person: I\'m kind of a late-to-bed, late-to-rise person, not that I get to do it a lot anytime but summer vacation.
Cat or dog person: Cat person. Cats are physically lazy, which is like me. They are also good for \"fuzz therapy\", even if they tend to rip you to shreds occasionally. I have one cat.

This is off topic, but plenty of people are allergic to cat hair but not to dog hair (I know 3 such people). I vaguely remember it\'s because cats lick themselves clean getting saliva all over their hair, and that\'s what people are actually allergic to.

Dogs shed a hell of a lot; I used to have a dog (a golden retriever) that would shed enough each week to fill a whole garbage bag during the summer.

Age: 27
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Light Brown
Height: 4' 22"
Job/Grade/College: Graduate Student studying Physics
Favorite Band in general: The Beatles
Favorite Bands recently: Indigo Girls, Oingo Boingo
Favorite Type of Music: Classic Rock
Favorite Computer Game: The Ultima series, especially 7 and 7.5
Favorite Video Game: Any of the Zelda games.
Favorite Movie: Hard to say, but I love the Zucker brothers movies like Airplane, Naked Gun, Kentucky Fried Movie. I like movies where when I watch them again, I get something new out of it. In terms of serious movies, Almost Famous is a new favorite.
Favorite Author: George R. R. Martin. If you like fantasy, you MUST read his new series. I still like Robert Jordan, but he needs to get his act together.
How long you have been playing DROD: Tried Webfoot a few years ago, started Caravel about a month ago.
Have you beaten DROD: Yes, just a few days ago.
Favorite level: 19. It was fun!
Least favorite level: 23. It was annoying!
Favorite thing to do: Video games, read, listen to music, sleep. Figure out things that no one else can, or see something no one else has seen before.
Desert island: I don't think I can answer this. I would just feel too bad for forcing someone else to be stuck on a desert island with me.
Dumbest thing ever done: Nothing I can think of since I was a kid, and those things shouldn't count. No, wait, my first year of college, I was totally blind to this girl who was interested in me until it was too late to do anything about it. But one thing maturity brings (or should bring) is the ability to not dwell on past mistakes.
Proudest moment: Pride destroyed Magincia! (Bonus points if you know the reference.)
Morning or night person: Night person and sleep in late if possible, but I am able to get up early if I have to.
Cat or dog person: Always grew up with dogs, since my parents hated cats. But my fiancee had the most awesome cat ever named Jade, and I loved her a lot. We had to put her to sleep around Christmas. I still love dogs, but I think I love cats now too. (Jade changed my parent's mind about cats too.)

Game on,

I don't usually do this... but then I've been around the bloke a couple or maybe more here, so I'd better update this stuff.

Real Name: Matt Cramp (guess where my screen name comes from)
Location: Wollongong, Australia
Age: 18
Hair: Brown, with tendency to look like it's from the 70s
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5"11' or so
Job/Grade/College: Assistant Manager, Shellharbour LPO
Favorite Artist: Moby, but he isn't a band now is he?
Favorite Type of Music: Slight leaning towards techno, but no real preference, except for heavy metal and bubblegum pop, which can go to hell
Favorite Computer Game: Hmmm... Monkey 2 (honesty is the best policy)
Favorite Video Game: Super Metroid, although the FFs and a fair few NGC games are clamouring for attention
Favorite Movie: The Truman Show (yeah, yeah, I know, but I really like the movie)
Favorite Author: Terry Pratchett. I generally like fantasy, but can only take one series of 'hard' fantasy at a time. Pratchett, Rowling, et al I can devour and come back for more.

Tried reading Grisham's latest, and it's really not that good (King of Torts). Be warned.

Agree wholehartedly re Robert Jordan. It took him 5 bad books to write something interesting.

How long you have been playing DROD: About 2 months or so - thought it was a measly four weeks, but it's not.
Have you beaten DROD: Yes
What level are you on: Level 1 of Bavato's Hold
Favorite level: 12. The snakes were hella fun.
Least favorite level: Level 23. I hate goblins.
Favorite thing to do: Hmmm... sit down in front of a heater with a doona, something sweet and maybe some milk or water and read a book.
Desert island companion: Martin Luther
Dumbest thing ever done: Oh god, I have to choose one? I'm the king of the faux pas. Let me split it:
Most embarrasing moment: Got up to do a speech in year 4 for an excursion and started bawling. Copped hell for that one.
Dumbest thing I ever pulled off: Got up to do a speech in year 8 for the school's environment club, without a script or no clear idea of what to talk about, and winged it. I call it the "Bet You Didn't Know That speech" and can't for the life of me remember how it went outside the fact every second line was "And I bet you didn't know that!"
Proudest moment: Excepting pulling that off, getting high distinctions in the UNSW Maths, Science, English and Computers competitions.
Cat or dog person: Cat person, although I don't like other people's.

Matt, isn't L. Ron Hubbard the guy who started Scientology?

Matt (I want to get a room of Matts together and say, 'Hey, Matt!')

[Edited by Mattcrampy on 02-18-2004 at 12:48 AM GMT: Man, I'm a superstar now]

Favorite Movie: Matrix

Have you beaten DROD: Yes
Favorite level: I liked the tar levels
Least favorite level: The ones with millions of orbs and doors
Favorite thing to do: Religious debate, programming, reading, camping
Desert island companion: Martha Stewart. She will be grateful to me she is not in jail and she could cook a gormet meal with two pineapples and sand grubbs.

Least favorite level: 9, 13
Favorite thing to do: Solve interesting problems. I often find that the problems I find interesting aren't relevant outside of my own amusement, so I also like to invent ways of speaking about important problems that makes them interesting. From which follows: make problems of undesirable social/political dynamics.
Desert island companion: MacGyver? Actually, I haven't met them, though I've met a few convincing imposters.
Dumbest thing ever done: Lied to a friend.
Most embarrasing moment: I once was in a performance of "Greater Tuna"... (the entire play is set in a radio studio) one of my lines was "Good Morning Tuna!" (with a southern drawl)... this was about the time when "Good Morning Vietnam" was in the theaters... and I sort of read the line as a play on that. During one of the performances I accidentally said, in a stupid southern drawl "Good Morning Vietnam"... luckily the other actor played it off as if it were an intentional joke, but I was mortified.
Dumbest thing I ever pulled off: Went to Mexico for spring break when I was legally not allowed to leave the state of Illinois.
Proudest moment: I've done lots of ametuer work in both music and theater, and I can't pinpoint a single one, but in general, the applause after any show I've been involved in, whether I'm on stage, in the pit, back stage, or even just did pre-show work. Definitely the most memorable are on stage, but I swell even if I'm in the audience and I had a part in it.
Cat or dog person: Plant person

Real Name: Noah
Location: Oakland, CA
Age: 14 in about a week
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'3 & 1/2" (I'm currently growing fast.)
Grade: 8
Favorite Types of Music: Classical, jazz, klezmer, kid's songs, etc. I'm really obsessed with the Beatles now.
Favorite Band: The Beatles
Favorite Computer Games: Many. I'll list what I can think of: DROD, Pixar action games (Toy Story 2 and A Bug's Life), Harry Potter games, Pangea Software games, Snood, !Fishy!, and Sammy Suricate in Lion Land.
Favorite Movies: Disney movies (specifically Pixar movies and some of the releases of a couple of years ago, like The Emperor's New Groove and Atlantis.), Yellow Submarine, Star Wars movies.
Favorite Books: Not sure
Favorite Authors: JK Rowling, Roald Dahl, George Lucas
Time playing DROD: Over 3 & 1/2 years (including long breaks from DROD)
Beaten DROD: Yes
Favorite level: Not sure
Least favorite level: 13 (After all, 13 is an unlucky number.)
Favorite things to do: Computer, Game Boy, reading out of order, thinking, expressing my knowledge, being creative (sometimes hard for me), being a goof ball, some TV.
Desert island companion: Good/best friend
Dumbest things ever done:
1. Swallowed a dime.
2. Poured grated parmesan cheese in my mother's hair.
Proudest moment: Learning to swim (proud on the inside)
Day or night person: I'm kind of both. In the day, I like to do indoor things, like computer. Then, before I go to bed, I'll jump and dance around.
Cat or dog person: Cat person. When I was younger I thought I was a dog person, but now I realize I like cats better. Also, dogs would be too much work. Right now we have this cool cat named Boo-Boo. He is more like dogs than other cats I know, since he comes when called, and doesn't seem to mind water as much as I'd expect. If any of you met him, I garauntee you'd like him instantly. He's a sweet cat (chunky, too).
Admin: Not yet, maybe when I become about Clayton and Malarame's age, or when I'm able to handle the job.

Now that's interesting. Why did you do such a bizarre thing?

What I want to know is, how did he pour it? I'll agree assaulting your mother with cheese is asking for trouble (but then again, that may be just my mother) but the word 'pouring' signifies a fairly deliberate act, invloving a ladder possibly.
