If there is a scroll lying in the most efficient path to Beethro, the brain-affected monster won't take that path.

This is easily demonstrated by putting a roach inside a "C" shaped chamber, with a one square wide opening with a scroll on the opening. Put Beethro opposite the opening.

The same goes for arrows. I found this out when I was screwing around and trying to make a Donkey Kong style room.

Note these aren't bugs. This is the way brains have to be for now. For example, the brain can't guide snakes toward arrows or scrolls, as they're not able to move onto them. Maybe in a future version they'll be changed, however. But we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

I think it's these little nuances that add spice to the gameplay. Serpents are invincible, so they are balanced out by allowing you to run on arrows to get away from them, etc.
