Will get back to you - I've got to do Level 22: Because If One Mimic Is Fun, Nine Must Be even Funner; Level 23: Goblins & Snakes Don't Mix; Level 24: The City The Milkman Doesn't Go To; and Level 25: This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us, level titles from my forthcoming DROD: The Walkthrough, available on LP, cassette and CD, before I get to see the ending.
Hmm, looking at Level 25 makes me want to get back to my graphics fiddling. I'm thinking now I might make a conversion, perhaps a Discworld one, or maybe a one-man-against-the-crime-lord setting, going from location to location until he reaches the crime lord's blimp.
Only problem is I'd have to kill the ending, as it wouldn't fit. It's an interesting idea, though, and if I could work out how to do my own ending I could program it on.
Legal issues, though. Obviously Erik and Lucas would naturally want recognition for design, and so would the coding team, but the legal repercussions of changing what's basically licensed from Webfoot?
Of course, none of these sweeping changes will probably ever exist, so no real problems.
Matt
