^, v, < and > correspond to up, down, left and right.
look at the numberpad on your keyboard. start at 5. [^<] means from 5 go up then left, taking you to 7. [v] means go down, taking you to 2.
[X] gives the ASCII code for 'X'
I presume that works for any capital letter.
[o] gives 5
[x*y] gives x multiplied by y
[x+y] gives x plus y

(#) means print
(^), (v), (>) and (<) seem to be flow control statements, but I don't understand them.
I have no idea about (@). Your first program has (X) in the middle of a line - can it really mean 'exit'?

This is for string literals. {hello} gives the string "hello".
